PTO Planning Meeting: Monday, February 4th

Just a reminder that our monthly PTO Planning Meeting is this Monday, February 4th. We will be discussing possible fundraisers and events for the Spring. We will also be releasing a copy of the proposed PTO By-Laws for approval. This is a big step in getting our PTO registered as an official non-profit organization.

Please join us and contribute your input, even if you have never attended before, everyone is welcome!

We meet from 6-8pm in the school library. 6-6:30pm is a chance to visit over light refreshments, the meeting is called to order at 6:30 and ends promptly at (or before) 8pm. Hope to see you there!

Infant/Child CPR Classes

Do you and your spouse know what to do if your child starts choking or requires CPR? Does your babysitter or your teenager caring for younger children?


An infant/child CPR course is offered at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center (LNRMC) every month on a Monday evening or Saturday morning. Course material includes CPR for children ages’ birth to 8, management of a choking victim and home and car seat safety. Cost is $15 (ind). $20 per couple. Mondays: 6:30-9pm: Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 17. Saturdays: 9-11:30am: Jan 12, Feb 9, Mar 15.


LNRMC also offers "Safe Sitter" classes for 11-14 year olds, covering choking & injury management, behavior management, basic childcare skills, etc. Cost is $40. Saturdays 9am-3:30pm: Jan 26, Feb 23, Mar 29.

PTO Planning Meeting Tomorrow (Monday) Night

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great holiday! Now it's time to get back into full swing and our first PTO Planning meeting of the year is tomorrow night (Monday, January 7th) at 6pm in the library. We will be discussing comments and suggestions received after The Christmas Express, as well as activitiy and fundraiser ideas for the next couple of months.
