Welcome Back to our students, teachers, and welcome to our new students and new teachers! It's here...the beginning of a new school year. This year is sure to be a little different from last year. We are welcoming a new prinicipal, gaining an assistant principal, new students, new families, new teachers, and a new wing. Oh, and check out our new cafeteria and playground!
As your new PTO President this year, I am eager to start working with all the families, staff, and volunteers. With the eagerness also comes a little anxiety....I have alot to learn. Your previous PTO Board did such a great job that it is going to be a challenge to live up to that expectation but your new Board will do its best.
The PTO is an open organization that welcomes anyone. We have our meetings on the first Monday of each night unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held in the library from 6:30-8:30pm. Again everyone is very welcome...no membership required.
Your previous PTO had so much support from the parents and I hope that this year we will get the same support. The PTO cannot accomplish anything without such support and volunteers. There are going to be alot of functions this year that volunteers will be needed. The PTO had an e-mail sign-up sheet during Open House, if you were not able to sign-up and want to be on our e-mail list, please e-mail us at
info@shepherdpto.com. This will be a great way for you to be informed about upcoming events and also about any daily happenings at the school.
